Yowza. dartmaps was digged yesterday.

After Cliph posted it, it was fun to watch the trickle of hits turn to a torrent (600+ a minute) as it hit the front page. After some apache fiddling my box miracously survived, but we eventually moved it to a zippier server.

(What’s also fun is blindfolded collaborative web-development: blindly hacking a site (anal office proxy) with IRC peoples having to confirm the changes.)

Anyway, despite a DNS boo-boo (the perils of editting DNS through a web interface using a text browser) and Irish Rail’s site falling over in the middle of it all, it reached nearly 700 diggs at last count.

Super.
